No. Player Position Club College
40 Megan Kleist
#40 - Megan Kleist
P Firecrackers-Rico Oregon
Megan led her high school team to a Wisconsin Div. 1 state championship and capped it in style by putting a 15-inning complete game 6-5 win. All the more impressive was that at the start of the year she had a stress fracture and came back after five months of near inactivity. Megan had a great summer and fall using her mid 60's heat, drop and change to keep batters off balance. Perhaps her biggest improvement has been her mental toughness and ability to remain unflappable in the circle.
39 Natalie Peters
#39 - Natalie Peters
OF OC Batbusters - Haning/Stith Michigan
Natalie is a converted right-hander who is now a dangerous slapper with the ability to place the ball anywhere and the speed to beat out anything on the ground. She also has gap power that gets her on base to allow the big bats to bring her home. Coaches like her work ethic and on defense she has the speed to close on most fly balls and the arm to keep runners honest. In limited action for the PGF 18U National Champion OC Batbusters she hit .400 and scored three runs during the title run.
38 Riley Sartain
#38 - Riley Sartain
IF/OF Impact Gold Texas A&M
Riley helped lead her Texas high school team to the 4A State Championship as she hit .486 for the year with a .570 on-base percentage and a slugging percentage of 1.038. She is a clutch hitter from the right side who hits for average and power: 22 of her 39 hits on the year were for extra bases with nine of them being home runs. Her honors included UIL Texas State All-Tournament and Texas Sports Writers All-State selections. Defensively, Riley and fluid and makes hard plays look easy. Her parents both went to Texas A&M so it was no surprise she too will become an Aggie.
37 Ali Wester
#37 - Ali Wester
OF Firecrackers - Rico Notre Dame
Ali comes from a softball family and is the middle of three talented softball siblings. She's following older sister Karly to Notre Dame and brings to the Irish triple threat skills from the left side of the plate. She hit .422 at the high school level and had a great PGF Nationals this summer as she was the driving offensive force leading the Firecrackers, who tied for 7th, in at-bats (22), hits (11), doubles (3), RBI (8) and average (.500). Ali is a great all-round athlete who can play several positions and will likely see the field early in South Bend.
36 Maddie Seifert
#36 - Maddie Seifert
P St Louis Chaos Penn State
Maddie has all the components to be a dominant pitcher in the Big Ten: she's tall and has continued to develop this year, increasing her velocity and spin rate on her drop and rise with the ability to throw her change up in any count. Maddie has a bulldog mentality on the field and, as one coach says, "She can hit spots like she is throwing through a key hole." A former varsity basketball player who quit to focus full-time on softball, she is a pitcher, not just a thrower, and is developing a curveball too. As a junior she went 16-5 with a 1.51 ERA and also showed her athleticism by hitting .365 with 25 RBI.
35 Alyssa DiCarlo
#35 - Alyssa DiCarlo
OF/IF Firecrackers AZ Georgia
Alyssa is a 6-foot versatile athlete who can play multiple positions on defense including shortstop because of her range, athleticism and arm, but offensively she is a dangerous power threat every at bat. This year she .583 and hit 17 home runs to lead the state. She also knocked in 63 RBI. A two-time All-Arizona honoree, Alyssa came up big in the Arizona state finals when she hit a two-run single that helped her team win the title.
34 Libby Sugg
#34 - Libby Sugg
C Birmingham Thunderbolts BYU
Libby is a game-changing power-hitter who came up clutch time and time again this year. She helped the TN Fury 97 win the inaugural ASA 16 Gold Championship in Broken Arrow, Okla., leading the team with a .583 batting average and 23 RBI with home runs in the tournament. She also played with the TN Fury Gold team in Triple Crown and PGF 18U Nationals and is now with the Birmingham Thunderbolts. She led her high school team to its first sub-state appearance hit .534 with 12 home runs and an amazing 46 intentional walks. Honors included 1st Team All-State for the second straight year.
33 Ashley Guillette
#33 - Ashley Guillette
P Rhode Island Thunder Coastal Carolina
Ashley is one of the top prospects on the East Coast and has a great change-up that reportedly is what interested the Florida Gators enough to extend an offer. The Connecticut All-State pitcher can locate the ball and move it around well and is very skilled at hitting the corners. She's a strikeout machine and led her high school team to a Class S state title as a sophomore and to a SWC championship this past spring. Ashley is poised on the mound and can work out of jams as she doesn't get flustered or ruffled easily. At PGF Nationals she recorded 14 strikeouts in 15 innings while going 1-1.
32 Katie Reed
#32 - Katie Reed
IF/OF St Louis Chaos Kentucky
Katie has really taken her game to another level this year and some feel she's the top second baseman in the 2015 class. She can play short, but she's an ideal defensive quarterback at second and has it all: quickness, arm strength, footwork, range and great instincts. At the plate she has speed and power can just as easily hit a home run, a gap or lay down a bunt. A third sport standout athlete, she's played varsity basketball and has played at a high level in ice hockey with the St. Louis Lady Blues. She was committed to Louisville, which offered at a camp during her eighth grade year, but she switched to Kentucky this summer.
31 Taylor Pack
#31 - Taylor Pack
C Lady Magic UCLA
Taylor is a coach's dream and has been described as an intelligent leader always a step ahead of the game as she's constantly analyzing what's going on. She's a great power-hitter who helped the Lady Magic win the Boulder 16U Tournament and tie for 5th at PGF 16U Nationals where she hit .409, tied for the team lead with seven RBI and drew six walks for a .536 on-base percentage. She just doesn't hit home runs, she hits them deep including the famous story last year where she hit a ball 320 feet that had college coaches on their feet. Taylor slugged nine home runs in high school last spring and hit .564 -- her third year in a row of hitting at least .545.
