Taylor McQuillin: why I chose Arizona

We got an e-mail from Taylor McQuillin last night explaining why the OC Batbuster pitcher chose the Univ. of Arizona, which she visited last Wednesday with her mother and grandmother. Earlier in the day we posted Taylor’s blog in which she listed her final five and why she liked each of the Pac-12 school.
Here’s what Taylor told StudentSportsSoftball.com about why she will someday call Tucson home:
*****
I committed to the University of Arizona this morning (Tuesday, September 2, 2013) because I felt that ultimately it was the right fit for me.
One reason I chose Arizona was because it was close to home which means close to my family and easily assessable to home at any time. That was something that was important to me and that I had told every school I visited.
Another reason is because I felt comfortably there and I felt that it was the best school for me to be able to strive in what I saw myself doing for the future. As I have said before, I wanted a school where I could call it my “home away from home” and the Univ. of Arizona easily fit this.
The people there made me feel unbelievably welcomed and treated me like I was already a part of their family.
Overall I am so blessed to call myself an Arizona Wildcat and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me in college.
Go Cats!
