Ryleigh was one of the key forces for the Mustangs team that won the USA Softball JO Cup and was a finalist at TC/USA Nationals. The third baseman is a smooth-fielding infield with a quick glove-ball transition and a great arm enhanced by playing for the USA Women’s Baseball National Team that competed in Toronto and the Dominican Republic earlier this year. Playing with and against women in their 30’s and 40’s, Ryleigh helped the USA team win a Gold Medal at the Pan Am games.
99 Taryn Atlee 2B Explosion Rutgers
Taryn is a spark plug who offensively can slap, bunt and hit for power. Coaches rave about her work ethic calling her one of the most hard-working players you’ll find, which has translated into a high softball IQ. At the plate she’s skilled at analyzing defenses and finding holes to use her speed and get on base. She committed to Rutgers a year ago in August and should be ready to contribute immediately, helped by her playing in against stiff competition for one of the top club teams in the country and in a high league that’s one of the best in So Cal.
98 Caela Abadie 1B PA Chaos St. Joseph's
One of the biggest sleepers in the senior class, Caela holds the Pennsylvania career home run record and she still has one season left. She has been a standout since her sophomore year when she was named 1st Team All-State after hitting 12 home runs and knocking in 50 RBI. This summer she had seven home runs at Team NJ and one club coach said, “I have seen all of the California teams play and we’ve played against the best and this girl is the best power hitter of any player we have faced. She is the real deal.”
97 Maddi Hackbarth C/3B West Coast Intensity Fresno State
With Maddi and twin sister Kindra, the Bulldogs are getting a two-for-one deal and both are talented: Maddi was the Valley Oak League Defensive Player of the Year and Kindra took the POY honors on offense. Maddi is one of the premier catchers in the nation, she has great size, a strong arm (1.8 pop) and a college frame with an advanced presence and ability to call pitches when not catching. Coaches love her leadership on the field and mentoring of younger players. Offensively she hits for power.
96 Nicole Bauer P Michigan Finesse Stanford
A fast-rising pitching prospect, Nicole is 6-foot tall and throws 65 mph with good movement on her curve and drop, which is her best pitch. She led her team to a state championship with a perfect 26-0 record, 0.38 ERA and 191 K’s in 146 innings with only 20 walks. She also hit .463 with 46 RBI. A 4.0 student with a 33 ACT, one coach said of her, “She’s the ultimate teammate and one of the nicest kids you’ll ever see.”
95 Alexis Lindsey 1B San Jose Sting - Gron South Carolina
Alexis is the prototype big lefty first baseman with power. However, she is impressively fluid and nimble on defense too. Alexis has a three-year high school career batting average of .446 and as a junior only had two strikeouts in 93 plate appearances. The San Jose senior also has the skills to play basketball which has helped her athleticism.
94 Randi Farricker SS Corona Angels - Tyson Arizona State
Randi is a tall (6-foot-) five-tool shortstop who anchors the defense for the Corona Angels and has all the physical tools needed to excel on defense and on offense. She has inherit instincts and has really added the mental edge to her game over the last year. As a junior she hit .500 in 74 at-bats for her So Cal high school with 21 RBI. Coaches say she has college power now but she also has a high on-base percentage: .602 last spring including 14 walks.
93 Maddie Smith P Jersey Intensity Penn State
