Today, we begin our look at the top 100 players in the 2019 class… we’re spotlighting 10 each day as we count down from 100 to No. 1.

These players were chosen based on input and feedback from college and club coaches who’ve seen them play all across the nation.

Criteria for choosing and ranking the players including performances at the club and high school levels and projecting how they will play at the collegiate level.

Today we feature players No. 100 to 91 with standout players from California, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas.

100—Hope Straight, P/1B… Beverly Bandits 14U DeMarini (committed to Ohio State)
Hope is a lefty pitcher who throws hard and has the potential to be a difference maker at the next level. She hits 64 mph on the radar gun and has good movement while having all the pitches. Hope is very athletic and is a scrapper who will lay out to make a play on defense—in one fall tournament she impressed by diving off the mound twice to knock the ball down. She’s also a solid hitter who can drive the ball to all fields.

99—Courtney Wyche, P… Wagner’s Gold (Maryland)
Courtney has the size at six-foot-1 to generate 66-67 mph type speed. Her size and velocity reportedly landed her offers from programs like Missouri, Virginia, and North Carolina before she committed to Maryland in late January. Courtney throws a four and two-seam fastball with a riseball she uses to close out a hitter. At ASA Nationals last summer, the then 13-year-old went 2-1 with a save and coaches agree that as she matures her ceiling is unlimited.

null

98—Sarah Schneider, C… So Cal Choppers – Fausett (uncommitted)
Sarah is the backstop on one of the top 14U teams in the country and, as one coach says, “She’s a beast.” Her strength is her bat: she drives the ball to all fields and hits the change-up well. During the fall, Sarah’s batting average was .518 while mostly hitting second in the order. She can get red-hot too: at the PGF Ultimate Challenge in October, she went 12-for-17 (.705) against strong competition as the Choppers won the tournament. Her pop time is between 1.75-1.85 and she’s hearing from Pac-12, Big Ten and Mountain West schools.

null

97—Kristen Green, SS… Atlanta Vipers – Moore (uncommitted)
Kristen was one of the driving forces on the Vipers team that finished in the Top 10 at the 14U ASA Nationals. She is an offensive threat providing speed on the bases and power in the middle of the line-up. As a freshman, Kristen led her high school team to the second round of the Georgia State playoffs by hitting .465 with seven home runs and a .500 on-base percentage. She’s hearing from schools in conferences like the SEC, ACC and Sun Belt.

96—Kayman Courtney, 3B… Texas Bombers Gold (Kansas)
Kayman is a unique blend of speed and power and is likely one of the fastest third baseman in Texas.  Add in her plus power and arm strength and it makes her one of the top defensive infielders in the Southwest.  Her intangibles are strong too: she's a leader on and off the field and is also a standout student taking three honors classes as a freshman.  Back on the field, she is a right-handed hitter who has the speed to play small ball and the power to keep defenses honest.

null

95—Jenna Johnson, OF… TN Fury Platinum (uncommitted)
Jenna is age-eligible to play 14U but is talented enough to play on the Fury 16U team. She’s been the lead-off hitter and centerfielder for the past five years for Coach Sam Thomas’s team. Jenna hit .375 and is also a threat on the base-paths; last year she stole 64 bases in 65 attempts. She’s getting recruiting interest from ACC and SEC schools and has attended camps at Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and LSU.

null

94—Aleia Agbayani, 1B/OF… OC Batbusters – Campbell (uncommitted)
If the last name sounds familiar, it’s because Aleia is the daughter of former MLB outfielder Benny Agbayani who played for the New York Mets from 1998 to 2001 and then with the Rockies and Red Sox in 2002. Aleia has the genes to go far too on the field, she is a power-hitting corner infielder with the athleticism to play multiple positions including the outfield. Though the Hawaiian is big and strong, she can run well too.

null
93—Madison Neighbors, C… Gametime Stars (Oklahoma State)
Madison is a strong-armed catcher who has a big bat to go with her defense. She’s a tireless worker and spends countless hours honing her skills. The Oklahoma standout committed to OSU last October and during the fall she put up big high school numbers: a .421 average with an on-base percentage of .511 and 1.248 OPS.

null
92—Kate Rehberg, P… Nebraska Gold (uncommitted)
Kate consistently hits 63 mph and peaks at 65 mph with her best pitches being a riseball and change-up. She has a fluid delivery and doesn’t muscle the ball with the mechanics and work ethic to improve to 65-plus. She was a 1st Team All-State pick at Class A with 247 K’s in 178 innings and an 18-8 record. Kate had 16 strikeouts against the eventual Nebraska state runner-up and one coach said she’s the best freshman pitcher he’s seen in the state in 20 years. Creighton has offered and Big Ten, Pac-12 and SEC schools are showing interest.

null
91—Angela Zedak, 3B/OF… Illinois Chill (uncommitted)
Angela is a versatile athlete who pitches but her primary strength at this point is her tremendous power potential. She spent years in competitive gymnastics which helped develop great core, arm and leg strength. Angela’s bat speed was measured at the January 2 OnDeck camp in Chicago at a jaw-dropping 99 mph and her ODM index ranking of 103.18 was one of the top marks every for OnDeck. The freshmen led the Chill 14U team in most offensive categories last fall including home runs, RBI and batting average.
