National Scouting Report Announces Partnership With Texas NPF Teams
HOUSTON, Texas -- The National Professional Fastpitch organizations, The Texas Charge, and the Scrap Yard Dawgs, announced an exclusive partnership with the recruiting organization National Scouting Report to promote the growth of fastpitch softball throughout the state of Texas and its surroundings.

"It's a great opportunity for NSR to partner with these ladies, who have so much experience with softball in playing and coaching," said Rusty Rigney, NSR CEO. "They have so much to share with younger athletes. Aligning ourselves with organizations who share the same mission, of helping young athletes achieve their dream of playing in college, is great for the future of fastpitch."

This new partnership means big things for the state of Texas and the sport of softball. The Texas Charge and the Scrap Yard Dawgs will be joining NSR on the recruiting trail and help softball players play in college.

"This partnership is something NSR softball has been working towards for years and searching for the right, honorable people involved, to make it happen," says Robby Wilson, NSR's Nationall Director of Softball Scouting. "The Scrap Yard sports facilities and staff are second to none; The GM's and management staff of both the Texas Charge and the Scrap Yard Dawgs are visionaries with their heart fully committed to advancing the game of softball. As someone who is involved with softball and softball recruiting all day, every day, I've witnessed the growth, direction, and drive from the Scrap Yard in recent years and could tell they were moving in the right direction not only in facilities, but in growing the game of softball at every, single level."

"Once I learned Scott Smith was involved not only as the Texas Charge GM, but also as the Event Coordinator for the Scrap Yard, I knew this was the group and parties we wanted to move forward with in our plans. Scott has been one of the most respected, upstanding, "true to your word" guys in the game of softball over the years. And has continuously pushed forward with increasing momentum but without wavering on the importance of quality of every aspect. Scott has been such a great friend and one of the biggest visionaries in the game, I knew he would be someone who shared and grew our ideals and plans together."

NSR is employing NPF players from the Texas Charge and the Scrap Yard Dawgs to assist student-athletes with their recruiting. All of the professional softball players were once collegiate athletes. They know what it takes to play at that level and can evaluate athletes who have those skills and abilities.

Connie May, the General Manger of the Scrap Yard Dawgs, is looking forward to the relationship with NSR and what it means for female athletes.

"It has been a goal to be able to give women the opportunity to continue to play the game they love and make a living through that game," May said. "The partnership with NSR will be a great first step to achieving that goal."

Scott Smith, Texas Charge General Manager, Texas Bombers National Program Director, Scrap Yard Sports Athletic Director and the 2016 NFCA coach of the year, echos May's thoughts.

"NSR's long tradition of helping student-athletes is something that really stuck out to me," Smith said. "It was evident after speaking with Robby Wilson, with NSR, that his passion for helping student-athletes was genuine and something we absolutely had to be a part of. I hope we can educate as many student athletes as possible about the huge benefits of NSR and all that they bring to the table. This is a huge game changer and now every athlete that plays at the Scrap Yard will have an opportunity to be scouted by a professional NSR scout."

The partnership will begin April 1, 2017, and will go through the NPF season and into the players' offseason. The NPF season begins June 1, 2017, and will conclude in August at the championship world series in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
