It is with a heavy heart that we report that 14-year-old Emily Galiano was killed Tuesday after she was accidentally run over by a vehicle in Forney, Texas.

Galiano was attending a dinner with her Forney High School softball team the night before the regional semifinals of the UIL Class 5A, Region 2 playoffs were scheduled to begin when the accident occurred, according to inForney.com.

She was rushed to a hospital in the Dallas area, where she was pronounced deceased.  

Galiano was a freshman at Forney High School, a member of Texas Glory RWB 16U, and was preparing for a full summer of softball.
