The regular season came to a close Saturday, and the bracket for the 2023 CAA Softball Championship is set. 

For the 12th time in championship history, the conference tournament will be held at Bill Edwards Stadium in Hempstead, New York, on the campus of Hofstra University. It returns for the first time since 2013.  

The five-day, eight-team league tournament will take place May 9-13, with the championship game scheduled for May 13 at noon. 

If necessary, a second game will be played immediately following the first.

The largest tournament in league history features a new format in 2023. The action begins on Tuesday with two elimination games. 

At noon, fifth-seeded Towson will face eighth-seeded North Carolina A&T in the tournament's opening game, followed by sixth-seeded Charleston against seventh-seeded Stony Brook at 2:30 p.m. 

The winners from each contest will advance to the double-elimination portion of the bracket.  

On Wednesday, fourth-seeded Elon will play the higher-seeded winner from Game 1 and Game 2 at noon, and third-seeded Hofstra will open tournament at 2:30 p.m. against the lower-seeded winner from Game 1 and Game 2. 

An elimination game concludes the evening at 5 p.m. It will be between the losers of Game 3 and Game 4. 

Top-seeded Delaware will take the field for the first time Thursday at noon against the higher-seeded winner from Game 3 and Game 4. 

Second-seeded UNCW follows with its tournament opener versus the lower-seeded winner from Game 3 and Game at 2:30 p.m.
