USA Selection Camp: Day 2 Highlights
Paige Lowary, lefty pitcher for University of Missouri looked very strong on the mound striking out Jazmyn Jackson, Madilyn Nickles, Aubree Munro, and Delaney Spaulding. Amanda Chidester and Sam Fischer both hit monster home runs and Chidester had a huge day at the plate hitting two home runs during the first scrimmage. Jazmyn Jackson, the Cal Berkeley triple threat also hit a dinger to center field.
Jenna Lilley continues to make spectacular defensive plays at third diving to her forehand side taking away a laser single by Raven Chavanne. Lilley and Kasey Cooper are both dynamic players that are making their presence known with their playmaking abilities and steady offensive performance. Kasey Cooper hit a solo shot to right off of Kelly Barnhill. Cooper also singled off of Rainey Gaffin.
Jessica Plaza's bat finally came around as she an opposite field home run off of Sara Nevins. The catchers struggled behind the plate today with numerous passed ball with runners on.
Delaney Spaulding hit a shot back at Nevins taking her out of the scrimmage.
