If it’s the fall, it means it’s football season and that time of the year when top recruits will visit universities to check out the festivities around football games.

Last weekend, Notre Dame brought in their five recruits expected to be part of their 2016 recruiting class for the Irish football game against Virginia.

Pictured above (left to right) are second baseman Katie Marino of Jersey Intensity, catcher/third baseman Madison Heide of the DeMarini Aces, shortstop Chelsea Purcell of So Cal A’s - Richardson, shortstop Ellie Richards from the Northwest Bullets and outfielder Alexis Bazos of Jersey Intensity.

“It was a great game,” Alexis said of No. 6 ranked Notre Dame’s 34-27 win over Virginia.

And it's a great recruiting crop for the Irish who are also picking up verbals from several of the top young pitchers in the country, including ​Alexis Holloway​ and ​Morgan Ryan (2017), ​Payton Tidd​ (2018) and ​Alex McManus​ (2019), to go with this year's strong group of position players.
