31 years ago Mike Candrea started his Head Coaching career at the University of Arizona. Candrea shares one of his most memorable moments in 1991.

Coaching the Olympic team gave Coach Candrea to coach fully developed players. The experience was humbling and challenging. During that time, he lost his wife and a player. Those losses made him realize that maybe his purpose is to help young women get through challenging times.

I always knew that softball was going to come to an end for everyone at some given point. You know let's spend some time and energy on developing a relationship that's going to last for a long time not just four years.
