1. 2015 was the season of firsts for Auburn. The Tigers won their first SEC Tournament Title, Regional, Super Regional, and made their first WCWS appearance. They also had the best finish in school history with 56 wins.

2. In his two short seasons, Clint Myers has set records in wins (56), batting ave (.339), runs (526), hits (606), HR (99), RBIs (474).

3. He also has his own emoji.

4. The team’s motivation during the 2016 SEC Tournament was their injured teammate, Kelsey Bogaards, whose nickname is Turtle. #TurnUpForTurtle became their war cry, they had turtles in the dugout, and made turtle shirts.

6. Junior third baseman Kasey Cooper is smarter than you and she’s better at softball than you. She’s the 2016 SEC Player and Scholar-Athlete of the Year and earned a full-ride academic scholarship for mechanical engineering.

7. Cooper is also the all-time leader in batting ave (.413), home runs (55), RBIs (214), and slugging % (.812) as only a junior.

8. Auburn celebrates any major athletic accomplishment by “Rolling the Trees” at Toomer’s Corner.

9. A slapper known for her speed, Senior Tiffany Howard hit her first career home run in the SEC Championship game vs LSU.

10. Howard also has 2 pet rats, Tilly & Clove. They have their own Instagram, @ratties_of_auburn.

11. Auburn starts its spring training every season with a five-day bootcamp called "Hell Week."

12. Clint Myers won two WCWS during his time at Arizona State, and he wears his National Championship ring every day. He said he would only take it off if Auburn wins a National Championship.


13. Emily Carosone and Kasey Cooper are Auburn's first two-time All-Americans in program history.

14. And Kasey Cooper is the first player in Auburn history to be selected to team USA.

15. Meet Jane B. Moore, the woman for whom Auburn’s softball field is named.

16. During the Alabama series in 2015, Auburn set an attendance record at Jane B. Moore with 2,006 fans. They had to add temporary risers to seat all the fans. The Tigers has since added 821 seats to their stadium.

17. Jade Rhodes should win Most Improved Player in Auburn softball history. As a freshman she batted .083 and as a senior she is batting .363 with 16 home runs and 65 RBIs, while also setting a school record with five hits in a game.

18. Carlee Wallace was recruited by Myers while he was at Arizona State. Halfway through her Auburn visit, she committed to the Tigers.

19. Family is everything for Clint Myers and Auburn. It’s been a dream of Head Coach Myers’ to coach with his two sons, Casey and Corey, and one reason he went to Auburn is because the Tigers were willing to make that dream a reality.

20. They also have family pictures of every player and staff member in the team room.

21. Auburn carries one of the largest rosters in the NCAA with 30 players. Many of the Tigers are only on partial scholarship — or no scholarship — and play simply for the opportunity to win the WCWS under Clint Myers.

22. Auburn takes a scientific approach to softball, working very closely with its kinesiology department to improve their performance and help the university conduct sports science research.

23. One of the results of that working relationship is “The Hop.”



24. Lexi Davis is Auburn’s all-time career wins record holder.

25. Auburn will likely continue its dominance b/c of its recruiting. Both its 2016 and 2017 classes have the most FloSoftball Hot 100 players — 5 in the class of 2016 and 6 in the class of 2017.

26. Auburn set a school record for largest MOV over an SEC team on April 16, 2016 win a 23-0 win over Arkansas.
