WALK OFF: Georgia Sweeps Florida at Super Regionals
The Georgia Bulldogs don't care about rankings, stats, or history. What they do care about is the fact that they just SWEPT the No. 1 team and two-time defending WCWS Champs out of Super Regionals on the Gators' home turf.

Let that sink in....Georgia, the No. 16 seed, swept Florida, the No. 1 seed and defending Champion, in Gainesville.

The Bulldogs took the opening game against the hosts by a score of 3-0. Chelsea Wilkinson was lights out for Georgia, only allowing the Gators three hits the whole game. Georgia's game one win was the first time a No. 1 team had lost game one since the current Super Regionals format began in 2005.

But one win wasn't enough for the Bulldogs — they came for the series and they took it in dramatic fashion.

Down 2-1 in the bottom of the seventh, pinch hitter Kaylee "Moose" Puailoa showed bunt with a 0-2 count, pulled the bat back, and crushed the walk-off, two-run homer to deep center, punching the Bulldogs' ticket to the WCWS. Georgia will make only its third appearance at the WCWS and its first since since 2010.

The loss for Florida means the Gators lose the opportunity to be the first team since the 1988-1990 UCLA Bruins to three-peat as WCWS Champions. Florida is also the highest seed to be eliminated at Super Regionals since the 2010 Alabama team that was also ranked No. 1.
