The criteria for selection includes a combination of all the following factors:

1st Team FloSoftball All-Americans: Outfielders

Sr. Ciara Bryan Newton Co. (GA)—Georgia
Ciara is a two-time 1st Team FloSoftball All-American and is a dangerous leadoff hitter who also can play the infield.  She earned Class 6A and Region 2 Player of the Year honors after batting .445 with eight home runs, five triples and going 53-for-53 in steals. A versatile athlete who qualified for the state track meet in three events – 4x100, 4x400 and long jump – she’s also won All-American honors as a cheerleader.  Ciara is No. 39 in the FloSoftball Hot 100.

nullSr. Kelbi Fortenberry East Bernard (Texas)—Texas A&M
One of the fastest players in the Lone Star State, Kelbi hit .659 this spring with a .721 on-base percentage and stellar 1.815 OPS. The District Offensive MVP, she also had 41 steals—the third straight season she’s swiped at least 40.  As a junior, Kelbi and future Aggie teammate Samantha Show won a 3A State title for the Brahmas.  Kelbi is ranked as the No. 31 player in the 2016 Hot 100.

Sr. Hannah Edwards Catasauqua (PA)—Pitt
Hannah also repeats as a 1st Team FloSoftball All-American and rewrote the Pennsylvania high school softball career record book in several key offensive categories: hits (207, the only player ever to reach the 200-plateau); steals (192) and runs (158). Hannah was a four-time 1st Team All-State honoree and twice was the Class AA Player of the Year.  This season she set a state single season record with 45 runs while batting .680 with 52 steals and an on-base percentage of .739. She is ranked No. 7 in the FloSoftball 2016 Hot 100.

Sr. Brittany Maresette Archer (Lawrenceville GA)—Auburn
Brittany was the Georgia Class 6A Player of the Year for the second season in a row after hitting .514 with an on-base percentage of .590.  A power slapper with speed, she also had 11 doubles with 31 RBI, 37 runs scored and in the outfield committed no errors. Brittany is a four-year starter and helped the Tigers win the Class 6A state championship her freshman year. She is rated No. 90 in the FloSoftball 2016 Hot 100.

nullJr. Julie Rodriquez Northern Valley Regional (Old Tappan NJ)—UCLA
Julie repeats as a 1st Team FloSoftball All-American and though she missed games early in the season due to a thumb injury, she rebounded to hit .590 this year with a .750 on-base percentage and 1.050 slugging percentage. A two-time All-State honoree, Julie was a .620 career hitter and also has the skills to pitch and play the infield, but her quick breaks on the ball and smooth stride make her an ideal outfielder. Julie is the No. 21 ranked player in the FloSoftball 2017 Hot 100.

Sr. Vanessa Taukeiaho Etiwanda (CA)—Oklahoma
Vanessa’s 20 home runs helped lead the Eagles to a 29-3 record and No. 20 ranking in the final FloSoftball FAB 50 High School Rankings. A finalist for California’s Ms. Softball Award and a CalHiSports.com 1st Team All-State honoree, she led the Golden State in home runs while batting .640 and driving in 56 runs. Impressively, she had at least one extra base hit in 24 of her 32 games played and had an outstanding 1.430 slugging percentage.  Vanessa is ranked No. 56 in the 2016 Hot 100.
