Kretschman, at 36 years old, is one of the oldest players in the league, yet is only getting better with age. She led the NPF this year in batting average (.466), home runs (13) and RBIs (45) to earn the Triple Crown distinction.

Last year, Kretschman won her first NPF Player of the Year award, hitting .338 with seven home runs and 22 RBIs. The University of Alabama alum's production only went up exponentially in 2016. This is Kretschman's 11th year in NPF and she has helped lead her teams to five championships, most recently in 2014 with the Pride.

Kretschman will attempt to get the squad back to another title this year. The Pride won the NPF regular-season championship and will take on the Akron Racers in the first round of the Championship Series on Saturday.

The Championship Series will take place in Kretschman's old stomping grounds of Tuscalossa, Ala., so the she can roll with the Tide and celebrate that historic Triple Crown achievement.
