FloSoftball continues our look at the Class of 2019 as we update the Hot 100 for the current sophomore class. We're spotlighting 10 each day on the countdown from 100 to No. 1.

The Top 10 prospects of the class will be announced on Friday, February 3 and shortly after we will profile the No. 1 player, the "Next In (101-200)," recruits "On the Bubble (201-300)" and finally the "Top College Rankings" for the '19 class.

Since we first released the 2019 Hot 100 a year ago at this time, there has been a lot of changes as players have emerged as nationally prominent recruits. In fact, 39 of the players in this second version are new!

These sophomore standouts were chosen based on input and feedback from college and club coaches who've seen them play across the nation. Criteria for choosing and ranking the players including performances at the club and high school levels and projecting how they will play at the collegiate level.

Today we feature players No. 80 to 71 who come from Arkansas, Arizona (2), California, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas (2) and Washington.

null

80--Sara Mosley SS/P… Georgia Impact-Stewart (Georgia)
nullMosley is a versatile all-around athlete who can play several positions including pitcher where she has mid-60s stuff. Her strong arm makes her a prototypical shortstop and she has the athleticism and skills to get to balls in the 6-hole most infielders can't. Mosley also is clean and efficient in her fielding and rarely makes errors due to sound mechanics. Offensively she utilizes speed out of the box and on the base paths to hit for a high average--a .421 high school career average--and she's led her club team before in home runs so she can go yard at any time. Mosley had ACC, Big Ten, Pac-12 and SEC interest before she decided to stay in-state last year and play for the Bulldogs.

T-79--Taylor Edwards P… Texas Bombers Gold (LSU)
nullEdwards is a power throwing right hander who throws in the mid 60s and her ability to mix up her pitches on multiple planes and also throw the ball by hitters makes her tough to handle. Her size and strength lend itself to a ton of upside and growth. The hard-throwing Louisiana-based pitcher also has in her arsenal a good change-up, rise and dropball. Taylor is also a standout volleyball player and realized her dream to play for the Tigers and stay close to home when she committed in September of 2015 after emerging as an eighth grader when she dominating at national showcase events.

T-79--Raylee Pogue IF… Texas Glory-Shelton (Oklahoma)
nullPogue brings athleticism and versatility to the field and moves to Kevin Shelton's Texas Glory Gold team after a standout run with the Oklahoma Gametime Stars. She's one of the top power hitters in the 2019 class and can go deep in any at-bat. One coach called her "a masher who just crushes the ball." Pogue broke her ankle over the summer and in her first at-bat back in high school ball in September hit a walk-off home run. Defensively she has the glove skills and arm to play infield and even outfield. The Oklahoma sophomore impressed at an early age and decided to stay at home and play for the current National Champs when she committed to the Sooners in the eighth grade.

78--Jordan Fabian C/3B… Georgia Impact-Lewis (South Carolina)
nullFabian is a strong player with a nice frame and her plus arm allows her to play catcher and third at an elite level. She hits for power and average and batted .421 with six home runs this fall while playing for the Carolina Elite. Defensively she frames well and eliminates base runners frequently--one coach said, "Jordan has a bazooka for an arm and can take the gear off and really pick it at third." The South Carolina sophomore committed to the Gamecocks in October of 2015 and because of her versatility and advanced skills look for her to make an early impact in the SEC.

77--Kaitlyn Morrison SS… Ohio Outlaws (Penn State)
nullMorrison is a 5-tool player who can do it all--offense, defense, base running as well as the intangibles you can't measure such as leadership and inspiring others through her work ethic. One coach says Morrison may be the best all-round player he's seen come from the Outlaw program, which has put dozens into P5 conferences. In the fall, Morrison had a .601 on-base percentage for her club team after batting .402 for the year and helping the Outlaws to a 5th place finish at Boulder IDT. Last spring, she led her Pennsylvania high school to its first Final Four, hitting .575 in the playoffs while leading the team in steals and doubles. She also had a .973 fielding percentage. Morrison had heavy interest from ACC, Big Ten and SEC programs before committing to the Nittany Lions in the eighth grade.

76--Lexi Berg P… So Cal Athletics-Briggs (Georgia)
nullBerg burst onto the recruiting scene this year as a 6-foot-1 focused, control-based pitcher with the ability to spot six different pitches including a rise, drop, screw and off-speed curve. She throws in the mid-60s and it's believed she still hasn't hit her growth spurt. Said one coach, "The minute Lexi fills out in size, she will be tops in her class and throwing just shy of 70 mph." The So Cal sophomore posted an impressive 26-0 record from the fall of 2015 through the end of 2016, with an ERA of 0.81 and WHIP of 1.33 over that time. She had several Pac-12 and SEC schools after her due to her strong fall outings at PGF Thanksgiving Showcase and D9 in Florida and pulled the trigger this month, committing to Georgia last week (mid-January).

75--Taylor Bachmeyer P/UT… Texas Blaze (Ole Miss)
nullNicknamed "Big Game Bach," Taylor thrives in the big games and gives coaches and her teammates the confidence in her to compete and fight with anyone no matter the stage. She throws in the low to mid-60s, but her strength is her ability to pitch and battle each hitter to get outs. Against top teams across the country, Bachmeyer was effective with 57 strikeouts and a 1.09 ERA over the summer including a no-hitter in the Texas Gold Cup. She didn't give up a run in her last six games and surprised many with her stick as she was third on the talent-laden Blaze team with a 1.206 OPS and produced an RBI in 63% of her at-bats. Bachmeyer committed to the Rebels last year over interest from several Big 12 teams.

74--EC Taylor OF… Georgia Impact-Stewart (Florida)
null"EC," which stands for "Emma Claire," is one of the rare students who lives in one state and attends high school in another as her hometown of Marion, Arkansas is 10 minutes across the border from Memphis, Tennessee where her high school, St. Benedict, is located. She earned Div. II All-State honors as a speedy outfielder who is a lefty slapper who can beat you with her sprinter's speed or drive the ball into the gaps or over the fence. Her ability to play all three outfield spots as well as set the table at the top of the line-up had major colleges after her as early as the seventh grade. She had programs from the SEC, Big 12, Big Ten and ACC watching her and coveting her speed before Florida got her verbal when she was in the 8th grade.

73--Brooke Nelson P/IF… NW Bullets Gold (Washington)
nullNelson is a right-handed pitcher who consistently hits 65 mph with her fastball and also throws a curve, change and a riseball. Aside from pitching, she can play the right side of the infield and is proficient enough with the bat to hit cleanup or in the 5-spot. As a freshman for Bonney Lake (Washington) High, Nelson compiled a 0.75 ERA with 220 batters in 125 innings and hit .696 with a .745 on-base percentage to earn 1st Team All-Area honors. A Gatorade Player of the Year finalist, she just returned from a cultural exchange trip to Beijing, China, where she played softball against women who are training to make China's National Team. Brooke committed to the University of Washington over offers from Big 12 and other Pac-12 programs.

73--Halle Morris P/1B… AZ Desert Thunder (Utah)
nullMorris is a 6-foot-1 pitcher who's still growing and has a ton of upside. She throws in the mid 60's with a rise, screwball, drop, curve and change, which she can throw at any point in the count. Morris also can spot her drop and curve well and keeps the ball low with her excellent command. As a freshman, she was a Tucson (Arizona) All-City pick as she compiled a 1.90 ERA with an 8-0 record. Halle plays for coach Kenzie Fowler, the former pitcher at Arizona, who she has known and worked with since she was eight-years-old. On the Thunder, Morris also plays first base and bats in the 4-5 hole. She's also a varsity high school volleyball player. The Arizona sophomore committed to Utah in January of 2016.

72--Audrey LeClair 3B/OF… Hotshots Elite-Nicholson (Michigan)
nullLeClair is one of the most athletic players in the West and what's impressive about her is she's still developing in all areas and has unlimited potential. She's a lefty slapper with 2.7 home-to-first speed and projects as a third baseman in college, but is so flexible defensively and so product offensively that she will get on the field early in Ann Arbor at any position the Wolverines need help. LeClair has tremendous arm strength and utilizes her quickness and speed to get on base. She was a MaxPreps Freshman All-American last spring and earned Arizona Div. IV 1st Team All-State honors after hitting a remarkable .707 with eight home runs, 11 doubles, 10 triples, 60 RBI and 37 steals. She played on the A's-Smith/Mercado 14U team that won PGF Nationals and is now playing in her state on former ASU head coach Craig Nicholson's Hotshots team. LeClair committed to Michigan last summer after playing in the Colorado Sparkler tournament.

T-71--Lindsay Hay C… Jersey Intensity (uncommitted)
nullHay was a force behind the plate and led her 16U Intensity team to a 3rd place finish at PGF Nationals where she caught every inning. She has a great ability to take command of the field and handles pitchers with great passion. Hay can hit for average and power and helped lead her New Jersey high school to a section title and it's first state championship game appearance since 1988 and lost a heartbreaker 2-1 to perennial powerhouse Immaculate Heart Academy. The New Jersey native hit .529 for the year with 22 RBI and is getting looks from major programs in conference in the East including the ACC and Big East.

T-71--Angela Zedak 3B/OF… Illinois Chill (Northwestern)
nullZedak has tremendous bat speed and as a 9th grader she was measured at 99 mph at an OnDeck Camp. Not surprisingly, she is a home run threat every time she comes to the plate. Along with her power, Zedak is an excellent athlete who runs and throws well too. She can even pitch with velocity in the low 60s. She was a competitive gymnast for several years and from that developed great strength in her core, arms and legs. She's been a force for the Chill program for several years and can even pitch, throwing in the low 60s. Angela chose Northwestern as a freshman over multiple Big 10 and SEC offers.
