We just wrapped up our first look at the 2021 class, and now it's time to break it all down.



Since these players are still in the eighth grade, there is still plenty of time to move around in the rankings. That's why we took the list of the top recruits 500 names deep this time around.

While only 21 of the Top 100 players are verbally committed, there are quite a few schools that already have multiple commits. Auburn takes the lead with 3 and Florida State, Oklahoma, Penn State, University of South Florida and UCLA each have 2 verbal commitments.

The No. 1 player, Quincee Lilio of Athletics-Mercado, has jumped aboard the Boomer Sooner train. Interestingly, the No. 1 players from the 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 classes are all headed to Oklahoma.




That may seem a bit fishy, but let's not forget we ranked Jenna Lilley No. 1 in the 2014 class and Mirando Elish No. 1 in the 2016 class and they are both doing great things at Oregon.

The Beverly Bandits organization has the most players in the Hot 100, followed by the East Cobb Bullets and Firecrackers with 9 each. In all, a total of 47 club organizations are represented in the rankings.



The Hot 100 players come from around the nation, from California to Connecticut. California takes the top spot for number of players with 32. That is followed by Georgia with 23 and Texas with 14.

As usual, battery positions are the most common in these rankings. There are 42 pitchers and 19 catchers on the list. Shortstops follow behind at 18.
