The Team Mizuno Impulse organization are back-to-back champions at the Tulsa Elite Summer Invite. Last year, Jason Gwyn spearheaded the championship game and this year head coach John Brochu led this talented young group of players.

In quarterfinal play, they beat Pro Form -- Glasco in a slugfest then met Texas Blaze Futures in semifinals. Paige Harris tossed a shutout to get Team Mizuno Impulse to the Championship where they met Texas Glory Naudin.

Glory drew first blood in the third inning when Riley Love hit a double and was knocked in by a bloop single hit by Toni McInnis.

Mizuno responded immediately in the top of the fourth when Cate Bade led off with a single followed by a bloop single by Julia Brochu. After a couple of quick outs, Madison Owen crushed a double in the gap to score Bade and Brochu.

Their offense kept rolling into the fifth with four consecutive singles at the top of the order and wild pitch to score Skylar Shaw, Rylen Wiggins and Bade.

Paige Harris motored through the Glory order scattering three hits, seven fly outs, and giving up two earned runs.

In the 16U division, St. Louis Chaos and Nebraska Gold were named Co-Champs due to conflicting flight schedules.
