It's OK, guys. There's no shame in just getting the heck out of the way.

Oklahoma University softball pitcher Paige Parker visited the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday and quickly made an impression on their MLB team's players. They were not quite ready for Parker's overpowering rise ball.

Royals catcher Drew Butera took Parker into the cage to see what she had. And the first time she threw a rise, Butera was literally bowled over by the acceleration and upward movement of the pitch. The video of Butera falling into the screen was captured by Mike Swanson, the Royals vice president of communications, per the Kansas City Star.

He should be impressed. Parker's peers surely are. She led Oklahoma to back-to-back Women's College World Series titles over the last two years and is a three-time All-American. Last year, the southpaw was the Most Outstanding Player in the Women's College World Series.

Visiting Kaufman Stadium seemed to be a really amazing experience for Parker, who threw out the first pitch. She grew up nearby in Independence, Mo., and is a lifelong fan of the Royals.

"I was kind of shocked because I would've never imagined that I'd have the opportunity to get to do that," Parker told SoonerSports.com.

"I really feel like I didn't even blink an eye before I said yes just because I was so excited."

It's a good thing Butera didn't blink when he was catching her. He might have not been able to catch the rise -- or her other pitches -- at all.

"It was really cool," he said. "She had a drop ball, which was like a severe split. She had a curveball, which is like a cutter. For me, the rise ball still blows me away."

Parker told Sooner Sports that she thought the whole thing was funny and enjoyed how Butera's teammates on the Royals reacted. That's a moment that will now live on in video form on the internet.

"It was surreal," she told Sooner Sports of visiting her favorite team. "I think it's like a childhood dream come true to get to meet the players. I don't think I could've ever thought of any of that in my wildest dreams to get to interact with them that much."
