Walk Off Win Of The Day
Diamond Sports Hot Shots were cruising through the WFC until they faced Batbusters MacArthur. The game was tied 6-6 going into extra innings when 2021 power hitter Ella Casas launched a walk off 2-run bomb sending Diamond Sports Hot Shots into the 14U quarterfinals.

Biggest Comeback
Mizuno Impulse was down 8-3 headed into the top of the 7th against Marucci Patriots. The Patriots had already beat Impulse earlier in the day and were one win away from advancing into the 18U Final Four. Impulse strung four hits together to even the score 8-8 in the 7th with two singles (Laney Roos & Elisa Rosado), a double (Haley Morse), and a triple (Caleigh Cross). At the top of the 8th, in ITB, Oregon-bourn Grace Green hit in Abby Buettner from third to put Impulse up 9-8. Green shut the door on the Patriots with a pop out and two strikeouts.

Quote Of The Day

We are learning to play with some grit. This week was about finding our identity. We struggled at times in all phases and pitching hasn't been sharp but they have played for each other and found a way to get here. - Patrick Lewis, Georgia Impact Premier Lewis Head Coach

Best 16U Matchup To Watch: Batbusters Campbell (7-0) vs Atlanta Vipers Moore (6-0)
14U Batbusters Campbell are ranked No.1 in 14U but have been playing up all summer. It's no surprise to see Mark Campbell's team in the Final Four. They have been battle tested and are favored to win the WFC 16U title. Campbell's teams has outscored their opponents 63-9. Atlanta Vipers Moore will be the the toughest opponent they will have faced at WFC.

The Vipers bring Championship experience after winning the 2016 USA JO Cup Championship. I saw coach Marty Moore on Wednesday and his parting words were, "See you Saturday." A man of his word, the Vipers have made it to Saturday to face Batbusters Campbell and they are one game away from the Championship game.

The Batbusters bring a West Coast style of play backed by power, speed and depth in the circle. The Vipers are scrappers. They have offensive weapons of their own with Briana Butler, Kayla and Adia Polk.
