Michigan Finesse Dreher Dominates At PGF Labor Day Showcase
Donny Dreher's Michigan Finesse team was dominant on championship day facing Beverly Bandits Tyrrell. The Bandits jumped out to an early lead in the second by putting up three runs.

It didn't take long for Finesse to respond as they scored two runs in the bottom of the second. 2019 pitcher Lauren Esman got the inning started with a leadoff single followed by another single by 2020 Kylie Millhorn. 2020 Lena Monteith drew a walk to load the bases for 2019 Sam DiCicco, who also walked to bring home the first run for Finesse. Taylor Turner singled up the middle to score Millhorn from third cutting the Bandits lead to one.

Finesse tied the game in the bottom of the third when 2020 Abby Tolmie doubled to left and 2021 Lauren Sciborski hit a shot up the middle to score Tolmie. The hitting barrage continued with Tolmie, Esman, DiCicco, and Sciborski at the helm. In the fifth inning, Finesse took the lead when Tolmie led off with another double and Esman delivered the RBI single. Sciborski crushed a ball to right center that was ruled a ground rule double scoring Esman. Monteith added to the run total with an RBI single to take a three-run league.

2020 Bandits center fielder Hallie Wacaser (Florida State commit) went deep the very next inning with a solo shot to left center. But Finesse's offense was unmatched as Sciborski drove in two more runs with a total of four RBIs on the day. And DiCicco ended the game hitting in two more runs in for Finesse. The final score was 4-11. Finesse win the 16U PGF Labor Day Showcase.
