Today, we begin our updated look at the talent in the class of 2020 as we reveal the Hot 100 prospects over the next two weeks, spotlighting 10 outstanding players each day on the way through our countdown from 100 to No. 1.

This list is an updated version of our initial 2020 Hot 100 rankings and over 40 percent of the players are new additions!

We'll announce the top 10 of the class on Friday, September 29, and shortly after will profile the No. 1 player. Then we'll list the "next in" classes comprising recruits 101-200, 201-300, 301-400, and 401-500, as well as which colleges have done the best so far in recruiting this outstanding group of players.

FloSoftball has ranked the Hot 100 beginning with the 2014 class and has done every grad year since including 2015, '16, '17, '18, '19, '20 (the first list exactly a year ago), and '21. We've also updated most of those years several times.

These 2020 honorees were chosen based on input and feedback from college and club coaches as well as our own FloSoftball event and in-person observations. Criteria for choosing and ranking the players includes performances at the club and high school levels and projecting how they will play at the collegiate level.

Today we feature players No. 100 to 91 who come from Alabama, Arizona, California (four), Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas, and Virginia.

*****

100 | Karsen Pierce, P/IF | Impact Gold MS - Holeman (uncommitted) null
Pierce is a two-way threat who, at 5-foot-8, throws in the low 60s with a wicked drop and isn't afraid to challenge batters and loves to compete. The right-hander is also a big hitter and used her skills in both areas to lead her Alabama high school to a runner-up finish in the 6A championship. For her high school season, Pierce went 8-0 on the mound and in 42 innings had 33 strikeouts with an ERA of 0.83 while batting .359 with six home runs and 41 RBIs. She hit .440 over the summer for her club team. When not in the circle, the sophomore can play the corners and has been all-county the last two years. Her older sister Makenna plays at Southern Mississippi and she's interested in the Lady Eagles along with some SEC schools who are recruiting her.

99 | Hannah Cady, SS/C | Finesse - Dreher (uncommitted) null
Cady is a lefty who throws right and can lead-off because of her high on-base percentage, but she also bats in the three-hole because of her ability to drive in runs. As a freshman last spring, the Michigan star earned first team all-state honors and during the summer batted .405 with a .481 on-base percentage. In 116 at-bats for Finesse, Cady only struck out three times and helped her team take second at the ASA A Nationals in Tennessee. Defensively, she has been recorded at 1.70 in her pop time behind the plate, and she's also a coveted shortstop because of her range, strong arm, and high softball IQ. Cady plans to finalize her collegiate decision by November; with a 4.0 GPA and No. 1 ranking in her class, she's looking at Big 10, SEC, and Ivy League programs.

T98 | Caitlynn Neal, 3B/P | AZ Desert Thunder (Nebraska) null
Neal is a true utility player and lefty triple-threat who combines her speed with a potent short game, slapping ability, and home run power. She shined at PGF Nationals and the USA Softball J.O. Cup this summer, where she led Desert Thunder in multiple categories including batting average, steals, and on-base percentage while giving up only one run in the circle. Neal can throw in the mid-to-upper 60s with a rise ball, change, and screw combination. She committed to Nebraska in the summer of 2016 and is a standout track athlete who specializes in the 100 and 200 meters. She also throws the discus.

T-98 | Bre Warren, OF/SS | Diamond Sports Hotshots (Texas A&M) null
Warren has the athletic frame and skills colleges covet and she was heavily recruited by many of the elite teams in DI before she pulled the trigger and committed to the Aggies, where her father, Ty Warren, played football before a career in the NFL with the Patriots and Broncos. Warren is tall -- 6-0 -- and has the speed to be a lefty slapper and steal an extra base on a ball hit to the gap, but has the strength and bat speed to hit for power. She's fluid and surprisingly agile for her size and is a force defensively and offensively, where she hits for a high average, usually in the high .400's. Last year at the Colorado Fireworks/Sparkler tournament, she went on a tear and hit .632.

97 | Caliyah Thompson, IF | Corona Angels - Tyson (Tennessee) null
Thompson jumps into the Hot 100 after being ranked No. 133 in the initial 2020 list, thanks to an explosive freshman season that saw the SoCal standout bat .692 in league and .506 overall. She's improved her speed, power, and defensive range significantly and became the starting shortstop and three-hole batter on Marty Tyson's talented 14U team. Next summer, she's expected to be a major force on Dena Tyson's 16U team. The Inland Valley League Offensive MVP, she committed to Tennessee on September 29 of this year.

96 | Janelle Marwitz, P | Oklahoma Athletics (Lamar) null
Marwitz moves to the new Oklahoma A's 16U Premier team after 11 successful years with the Gametime Stars which included a big summer in 2017 as she started 30 games and compiled a 22-6 record with 113 strikeouts in 124 innings pitched and a 2.54 ERA against elite combination. Primarily a pitcher, Marwitz can also do damage with the bat as she had a .434 on-base percentage. She helped her team finish second at the 16U J.O. Cup, third at the Top Gun Invitational, and fourth at the Tulsa Elite Invitational. The Oklahoma standout chose Lamar in Beaumont, Texas, over other national programs because of a strong rapport with the coaching staff.

T95 | Camille Marin, C | Corona Angels - Tyson (uncommitted)null
Marin experienced much success leading up to high school and has only continued to get better. The Corona Angels catcher played varsity softball at St. Paul High School where she hit an impressive .386 earning her All-League and Rookie of the Year honors. Throughout the summer, Marin remained consistent at the plate batting .310 with 9 RBIs and 2 home runs, helping lead the OC Batbusters to a strong PGF finish. Her ability to hit for power to all fields as well as excellent blocking abilities behind the plate has attracted attention from many colleges including the ACC, BIG WEST, and PAC-12.

T-95 | Tori McQueen, P/1B | Ohio Hawks (Illinois) null
McQueen is one of the more dominant pitchers in her class who relies heavily on her top-notch spin and break. Not only did the lefty post an overall record of 26-1-1 during her freshman year at Mooresville High School, but her consistent physical and mental approach in the circle helped her earn wins against top level competition at the 2017 PGF Nationals where McQueen and the Ohio Hawks finished  9th overall. Not only does the University of Illinois commit bring power in the circle but can also swing it with some power from the left side of the plate.

94 | Gracie Sullivan, C/IF | DeMarini Aces (uncommitted) null
Sullivan is a multi-sport athlete from Kansas who excels at volleyball and basketball when not starring on the softball field. Sullivan plays an aggressive game behind the plate and is not afraid to use her arm strength to keep runners honest. She is said to have recorded pop times in the low 1.7s but it's her composure and command of the game that sets her apart. A threat at the plate as well, last season Sullivan lead the 14U Demarini Aces with a .466 average and batted in an impressive 37 runs in the process. With offers from SEC, BIG 10 and BIG 12 schools, Sullivan hopes to make a commitment this fall.

T-93 | Madison Papenhausen, P/1B | All American Sports Academy (Utah) null
Papenhausen is an athlete who can do it all. She stars in the circle showcasing low to mid 60s speed with a curve she can locate on both sides of the plate. As a freshman, she lead her San Marin High School team to the North Coast Section Championship posting a 15-2 record in the circle and a 1.06 ERA. Madison's performance in the circle along with her league-leading 7 HRs earned her First Team All-Metro and First Team All-State honors. Papenhausen will look forward to taking her talents out Salt Lake City as she's made her decision to play for the Utes.

T-93 | Scotland David, OF/2B | Jacksonville Storm (Oklahoma State)
null
A pure leader on and off the field, David has continued to evolve her game into one that features both quickness and power. Lightning speed down the line isn't the only reason David was able to post a .513 batting average this past year, her ability to hit the long ball, including five home runs, really opened up the field and made her an even bigger threat at the plate. Her elite level speed also allows her to cover tremendous ground in the outfield placing her among the best in her class. David plans to continue her career at Oklahoma State.

92 | Chloe Stewart, SS/3B | Locomotion (uncommitted)null
Stewart's standout performance for the Locomotion this season can only be described as consistent and clutch. Her coaches believe her to be one of the best they've coached and one that may have the tendency of being slightly overlooked. She is a fast, strong right-handed power hitter who finished her travel ball season with a team leading .552 batting average, 37 RBIs, and 7 HRs.  The exceptional multi-sport athlete who also plays basketball for Webb High School in Claremont, finished her freshman campaign batting an astounding .481 with 37 RBIs and 10HRs. Stewart's consistency at the plate has attracted interest in the BIG 10.

T-91 | Ivy Rosenberry, P/OF | Ashburn Shooting Stars (uncommitted) null
Rosenberry solidifies her spot in the Hot 100 in large part because of her diversity in the circle and at the plate. Having hit 24 HR in the past 18 months, when hot at the plate, Rosenberry has the power potential to hit shots upwards of 250+ feet  Ivy also makes a huge impact in the circle for the Shooting Stars. She has low 60s velocity but it's her biting curve ball and ability to throw her change up for a strike that makes her the most effective. Rosenberry is uncommitted but has drawn interest out of the Power 5 conferences.

T-91 | Aniyah Black, SS | Georgia Impact - Newland (Georgia)null
Black is an exceptional all-around athlete with effortless power at the plate. With almost as many extra-base hits as singles, Black hits with power to all fields but also shows great patience, which is evident in her .400+ OB%.  She has incredibly smooth hands at short stop but sets herself apart with the combination of her quick release and arm strength. Black earned All-State honors as a freshman and after garnering multiple offers from Power 5 conference schools, has committed to play for the Bulldogs at the University of Georgia.
