The Master Verbal List has grown to more than 7,200 entries since we first began compiling names. This summer, with more 2020s and 2021s committing more than every before, the list has continued to grow. Let's break it all down.

From the middle of June to the middle of September, we saw 406 players join the list. Of that total, only 107 (26 percent) are committed to Power Five schools, with the Southeastern Conference leading the way at 33 commits.

Since we have started breaking down our Master Verbal lists, the SEC has always been the conference with the most commitments. The SEC schools with the most commits are LSU (nine), and Mississippi State and Georgia (four).

The Pac-12 and ACC followed the SEC with 19 commits each. Arizona State had four commits and Utah had three. Virginia and Notre Dame each had five and Florida State followed behind with three.

The Big 12 and Big Ten each came in with 18 commits. Oklahoma had five commits and Maryland had three.

Since opening the Master Verbal List to the DII, DIII, and JUCO level, we've seen a spike in commits to such schools. Division II Harding University crept into the list this summer and had a total of six commits, one of the highest.

The 2021 class continues to commit. We had six 2021s in our last Master Verbal breakdown and 27 for the summer breakdown. Notable 2021 commits include No. 19 Hot 100 player Reagan Walsh of OC Batbusters - Campbell, who is headed to Washington.

The 2018 class accounted for 28 percent of the commits with 112. The class of 2020 was right behind with 111 commits, and the 2019s followed with 100.

Among club teams, the Firecrackers continue to steamroll with 23 commits. The Batbusters followed with 17, and Georgia Impact and Marucci Patriots were right behind at 13.

Not surprisingly, a majority of the committed players play battery positions, with 42 percent listing either pitcher or catcher as their main position. Pitchers accounted for 93 of the commits and catchers accounted for 79, for a total of 172 battery players.

A few notable team changes also occurred over the summer. OC Batbusters - Stith is reloading with some incredible young talent. Players like Oklahoma commits Kinzie Hansen and Nicole May have changed teams to join the Batbusters. Hansen is a dominating catcher who helped her Athletics-Mercado team take second at the 16U PGF Nationals this year.

Indiana Magic is also on the map after the 14U PGF Nationals this year, where the 14U Rudd team took third. Former Beverly Bandit players Hannah Carson (Michigan) and Morgan Overaitis (Michigan) will now play for the Indiana Magic organization.
