With great sadness, we report that North Davidson head softball coach Mike Lambros has passed away.

During the last 14 months, Lambros battled stage four pancreatic cancer. He was named 2017 FloSoftball High School Coach of the Year after leading the Knights to a North Carolina class 4A state title over Cape Fear.

Lambros will be remembered as one of the greatest coaches to ever coach softball in the Tar Heel State, compiling 898 wins since 1979, the most in North Carolina history.
