Missouri Baseball sophomore Tony Neubeck turned heads during the opening game of the 2023 College Baseball Showdown when the reliever struck out nine batters over 3.1 innings against the highly regarded Oklahoma State lineup. 

After Missouri allowed five runs in the second inning, Neubeck took over in the third and quieted the bats of the Cowboys. As Missouri cut into Oklahoma State’s lead, Neubeck went to work. 

Over his first 3.1 innings, he struck out nine and allowed no hits and saw just one OSU batter reach base. 

At one point, Neubeck struck out five straight batters. He also had four straight strikeouts at one point.

Neubeck allowed his first hit in the seventh inning which snapped five straight strikeouts. He was taken out of the game with runners on the corners after 3.2 innings.
