The Birmingham Thunderbolts consistently have demonstrated excellence throughout the organization, and the 2023 PGF Nationals further reinforced the club's reputation.

In the 10U and 14U Premier divisions, Thunderbolts teams left Southern California with heavier suitcases than they brought. Both teams claimed top honors in their brackets to cap this summer's event.

Birmingham Thunderbolts 2026 Thompson topped Atlanta Vipers 08 Tamorra in the 14U Premier Championship Game, 7-1.

A six-run third inning blew open the game for Birmingham, which rallied from giving up an early run to the Vipers.

Missy Odom, the Alabama High School Athlete of the Year for her exploits both on the diamond and the basketball court, headlined the Thunderbolts' championship win with seven innings pitched and no earned runs en route to the victory.

In the 10U Premier bracket, the Thunderbolts 2030 Wilkerson team blanked the SoCal Firebyrds in the finale, 8-0.

Per ExtraInningsSoftball.com, Birmingham got a stellar showing from Aaliyah Hayes both in the circle — where she allowed just two hits — and at the plate, going 2-for-3.

Rounding out the final weekend of two action-packed weeks at the 2023 PGF Nationals, BSC Bengals claimed the organization's first national title with another shutout, 8-0 vs. AZ Storm.

Emily Yoon pitched five innings of shutout softball for BSC Bengals, which completed its unbelievable fifth shutout win of the tournament. The only three runs the club allowed came in BSC Bengals' semifinal win over Athletics Mercado Walker, 9-3.
