Three teams from the BIG EAST are headed to the 2024 Women's NCAA Basketball Tournament. Here's what to know.

The BIG EAST conference sent three teams to the Women's NCAA Basketball Tournament on March 17, including No. 3 seed UConn Women's Basketball. 

Joining the blue blood Huskies are No. 10 seed Marquette and No. 7 Creighton. 

UConn won the BIG EAST Women's Tournament on March 11 where they beat No. 6 Georgetown. 

The three teams opened the year as three of the favorites in the league, with the Huskies being the overwhelming favorite to win the league. 

They did just that. The Huskies went 18-0 behind Paige Bueckers in league play. Creighton finished second in the league with a 15-3 record, while Marquette was third with a 11-7 record in the BIG EAST. 

Here's what to know about the BIG EAST teams in the 2024 Women's NCAA Basketball Tournament. 

No. 3 UConn Women's Basketball vs. No. 14 Jackson State 

The Huskies will play Jackson State in Regional 3, the Portland Region. USC is the No. 1 seed in the region. The time of the game is TBA. They will host the game. 

No. 7 Creighton Women's Basketball vs. No. 10 UNLV

The Blue Jays will play UNLV in the Regional 2, the Albany Region. The No. 1 seed in the region is Iowa. They'll head to Los Angeles California for the first round. 

No. 10 Marquette Women's Basketball vs. No. 7 Ole Miss

The Golden Eagles will play Ole Miss in the Regional 4, the Portland Region. The No. 1 seed in the region is Texas, who faces CAA Tournament Champion Drexel. They will travel to South Bend for the game.

The tournament will begin on March 20, but firm dates of games for the first round and times have yet to be announced.

When Does The Women's NCAA Basketball Tournament Start?   

The Women's NCAA Basketball Tournament begins on March 20 with the with the First Four. The round of 64 begins March 22 and the Women's Final Four is March 24.
