Kansas State and Northeastern, perched at No. 38 and No. 35 in RPI, respectively, will meet for a one-off mid-week matchup as each try to beef up their regular season resumes. 

K State, with a legitimate 21-13 record in a ruthless Big 12, is battling through the middle of the pack in the conference. Their meeting with Northeastern predates a massive three-game matchup against No. 17 Oklahoma State. KSU is coming off a tough series against Oklahoma, in which they lost all three games.

Northeastern baseball currently sits second in the CAA standings, with a 9-3 conference record and a 27-8 overall record. The Huskies have been predictably solid throughout this season, and have yet to be defeated in two consecutive games in the 2024 campaign. 

Northeastern's bout with K State will also be followed by a tough matchup against conference foe UNCW, who are currently atop the CAA baseball standings.
