The 2026 NCAA D2 postseason is officially upon fans. As conference tournaments wrapped up over the weekend of May 10, the selection show on May 11 was a little chaotic.
With eight regional tournaments taking the field during the weekend on May 14, the best softball in D2 is happening now.
The full field of 64 teams consists of 23 automatic qualifiers with 41 at large bids. After the regional tournamnets, the final field will be narrowed down to 16 and then down to the final after the conclusion of Super Regionals.
With the National Championship tournament slated to begin on May 28, here is all of the post season information.
