Amanda Lorenz has quite the long list of accolades for her high school and prep career. She was a two-time FloSoftball 1st Team All-American at Moorpark (Calif.) High and last year was a key component on the OC Batbusters-Haning/Stith club team that won the PGF 18U National Championship.

The 2015 outfielder has signed with the Univ. of Florida, but has one more week of club ball and is looking to help the Batbusters repeat as champions.

She’ll be blogging for us this week and sharing her thoughts as she and her team work towards closing out the summer with a bang!

Today we had our second bracket game against Arizona Desert Thunder.

Our game was supposed to start at 12:30 p.m., but it didn’t start until about 1:15 p.m. due to the game in front of us going into ITB.

Mariah Lopez pitched a very good game for us and is coming back strong after an injury that prevented her from playing for most of the summer.

Jocelyn Alo got our offense going in the second inning with a leadoff double. She also had a grand slam!

Morganne Flores had a bomb over the left-field fence and Sophia Reynoso had a few RBIs.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Mariah got into a little trouble, but Natalie Lugo came in to help her out and got us out of the inning with no runs.

The final score was 10 to 0 in 4 innings!

Our offense did a very good job today and our team is really starting to get everything together.

Today just made me even more excited for tomorrow!

One game at a time!!
