Emily Sorem: I enjoy listening to music and going to concerts with friends.

FS: What’s something unusual or different about you few know?
ES: Something unusual about me is that I am a vegetarian and have been one since 4th grade.

ES: In the sixth grade, my teammate Katie tripped and ran out of her cleat while trying run to 2nd base.

FS: Academically what did you want to study in college and do post softball?
ES: I’m planning on majoring in International Relations. I’d really like to combine international travel with my career.

ES: I would choose Malala Yousafzai. It would be so cool to talk to someone so close to my age that has made such a big difference in the world.

ES: I love the team aspect of the game. It’s great having a team back you up on and off the field.
FS: What was the last movie you saw and what did you think about it?
ES: The last movie I saw was The Imitation Game. It combined history and Benedict Cumberbatch, so it was amazing!
FS: What’s your out pitch and what else do you throw?
ES: My riseball is my out pitch. I also rely on my curve, screwball, and change-up.
FS: Tell us about the recruiting process…
ES: My neighbors went to Lehigh and loved the school, so I sent Coach Troyan an email. He was able to come to my games in California at one of the Surf City Fall Tournaments. I visited the school a couple of weeks later and absolutely loved it! I decided to commit on Valentine’s Day.
