Prayers for Dana Housley & family (5/24)

The following information was forwarded to us by Valerie Van Kirk LeVier, head of the Cal Thunder organization:

Saturday, May 22nd, 2015 in the last inning of her travel softball tournament, Cal Thunder 14U first baseman Dana Housley suffered a brain aneurysm during the middle of her at bat.

She has been placed on life support because she is unable to breathe on her own, nor is there any brain activity. The softball community throughout the country has prayed for her thanks to social media.

Dana Housley of Etiwanda, Calif. suffered a brain aneurysm on Saturday and may come off of life support Monday morning.
Dana Housley of Etiwanda, Calif. suffered a brain aneurysm on Saturday and may come off of life support Monday morning.

However, we only have until Monday morning for God to answer our prayers before she is going to be taken off of life support.

Dana is young just finished her freshman year at Etiwanda High School.

She is so beautiful and such a fighter. Her family needs your prayers and donations. Please find it in your heart to assist in ANY way possible. Cal Thunder thanks everyone who has prayed, tweeted or shared in this experience by representing Dana’s love and passion for her sport.

We are truly all family!

We cannot express in words how thankful we are to everyone for the outpouring of support you have provided to the California Thunder Organization and more importantly to the Housley Family. The softball community is an amazing place; social media has provided prayers from all around the country and it is truly a blessing this young lady needs.

Unfortunately, the latest prognosis is not good for Dana and unless there is some improvement by tomorrow morning our first baseman Dana Housley will be taken off of life support.

There isn’t a family in this world that is prepared for something like this and we hope to provide some financial relief to the Housley Family. A GoFundMe acct has been set up (click on the link or click here) and would appreciate ANY donation possible.

Although our prayers are still needed, no matter what the outcome, the Housley’s will be enduring a financial burden. Please donate and pray.

If you have not heard about Dana’s tragedy, below are a few social media links that explain as well as provide a few pictures so you can get to know Dana. If you do not know Dana, you will after you view her pictures. She is young, athletic and beautiful. She plays with passion and a smile on her face. She will try to do whatever you ask of her. Please help and spread the word for more support in any way possible.

The California Thunder Organization thanks you.
