Recruiting: uncommitted, some offers on the table but exploring options
Scouting Report: Cassidy sees the game beyond her years. She is smart, strong and quick behind the plate and can read the game. Runners are at risk on any base. Cat is a strong player mentally and physically. She is a lefty with a clutch hitter mindset. “Cat” gets the hits and brings the runs in. She can rip them off the wall, lay down the bunt, and hit and run for the sacrifice. She does so many things that you can’t see with stats and her toughness and willing to battle and play through pain and adversity are unmatched and off the charts. Her leadership skills and overall skills are excellent too.
Off The Field: Cassidy is an avid outdoors person. She serves as a volunteer leader for the National Wilderlife Federations Super Hunt for Kids with disabilities allowing special needs youth the opportunity to experience a heritage of hunting. Cat also volunteers to provide lessons to kids starting out in softball.

Coach’s Comments I: “In our State Championship game, which allowed us to three-peat, Cassidy got beat up, banged up, had a swollen leg after blocking two possible game-changing runs at the plate both with violent collisions, then she goes and hits the game-winning home run. Cat’s reply to battling through the injuries was, ‘I had to stay in there for my team.’ I can’t be more proud of this kid, because she never says anything. She just gets the job done. I will take her to war with me anytime.”
— Coach Justin Chaney – Newton County High School Head Coach
Coach’s Comments II: “Cassidy is an outstanding athlete and person. She has a true passion and love for the game and highly respects her teammates and coaches. Her respect for the game is priceless and she is an asset to any program.”
— Coach Cindy Corrado of Cindy Softball and America’s Team USA Head Coach
