Samantha Manti is one of the top players in the junior class and came in at No. 27 overall in the 2016 Hot 100.

A member of the Corona Angels – Tyson 18U team now, last season she helped the Angels 16U squad to a 3^rd place finish at PGF Nationals going 3-1 with a save and 1.12 ERA.

The junior pitcher with a great riseball and change will be back with the Angels this year and will head to the Team NJ and Louisville Slugger (Boulder, Colo.) tournaments in June, which she missed last year as her father had a heart attack just days before she was supposed to leave.

“He’s doing great now,” says Sam’s mother, Rebecca, “and we will all be joining her in Colorado for the tournament.”

Currently, Samantha is playing for Eastlake High in Chula Vista, Calif. (in the San Diego area) where she’s limited opponents to a .162 batting average while compiling a 1.65 ERA and striking out 127 in 72.1 innings.

Samantha had her prom last Saturday – April 25, 2015 – on the Inspiration Hornblower, the largest dinner cruise ship in San Diego.

The theme was“Skyfall – 007” as in the James Bond movie.
