Last Friday, the No. 2 Oregon Ducks fell 5-1 to the top-rated Florida Gators in the Judi Garman Classic in Fullerton, Calif. but did go on to win their next four games in the prestigious event to bring its record to 20-3.

Jenna Lilley, the outstanding true freshman from Canton, Ohio, went 2-for-4 in the game—her 10th multi-hit game in the first 23 contests this season.

Jenna, who was one of 17 players invited to play on the Jr. National Team this summer and the No. 1 ranked player in the 2014 Hot 100 (our first class ranking), is one of the most fascinating players to watch because of her intensity and passion on every player, whether it’s at the plate or in the field.

And before each time she steps in the plate, notice how she collects herself, closing her eyes, catching her breath and mentally focusing on what she needs to do.

Be sure to watch to the end to see how, once her mission is accomplished, she flashes the Oregon “O” to the bench!

As I said when I wrote her bio for the Hot 100 list, she has that “it” that is just compelling to watch and if you’re a young player wanting to be better in softball, Jenna is a great player to emulate…
