Why the Bulldogs? “I choose Mississippi State primarily because of Coach Vann (Stuedeman),” explains Kayla. “She is absolutely amazing! She looks out for her players’ best interest. On my first unofficial visit there, I knew when I met the team and the assistant coaches that this is where I belong. Then on my second visit, I was so comfortable that it felt like I was home and had been part of the Bulldog family for years. They have a good academic program and after meeting with the academic advisor and taking a tour with them, my parents and I saw that they really care about their student-athletes and that the resources that are available are easily accessible. They also have a great technology program, which helped me in making my decision.”

What is your favorite bat and why?

I love my Louisville Slugger LXT. I have had every Xeno that Louisville Slugger has came out with except the 2014 model and that’s when I got the LXT. To me this bat is so balanced and it performs well in cold weather. It doesn’t sting my hands like other bats. This year from the spring thru November I have hit 24 homeruns with this bat.

What bat do you use? What bat does your team use?

I use the LXT and majority of my teammates uses the LXT and some use the Easton Stealth.

What is your brand of cleats?
I wear Mizuno cleats and I love the way the toes are designed. Being a pitcher I need the extra rubber for the toe.

What is the uniform brand you prefer?

I love the Mizuno uniform. The pants are durable and the jerseys are light-weight and breathable for those hot summer days in the South.
