You won’t meet a softball player with a more bubbly and lively personality than Alyssa Palomino, the 2015 outfielder headed to Arizona who’s one of the top players in the senior class.

I caught up with her last weekend at the Surf City Winter Showcase as she was playing with her OC Batbusters – Haning/Stith team which she, sadly, won’t be playing with this summer for a very good reason.

Alyssa was one of 17 players chosen to play for the Jr. National Team and in this video interview talks about how she learned she made the team (although it was 10 minutes later than expected) and how she almost injured her mom in the excitement of finding out she made the squad!
