What makes a Hot 100 player? Part 1 (1/12)

In the first of a daily series continuing through this week, we examine what factors and elements are common to those good enough to be ranked in the Full Count Softball Hot 100 Recruit lists.
We’ve done the top 100 players in the 2014, ’15, ’16 and ’17 classes and soon will begin working on the 2018 standouts.
But first, we went to several top coaches to see what factors they observed in their players that won them recognition as being the best of the best…
Today, we kick it off with a video interview done with Mike Stith of the OC Batbusters who certainly knows elite talent! His defending PGF National championship 18U team has no less than 18 players ranked in the Hot 100’s of their classes including two: outfielder Amanda Lorenz (2015, Florida signee) and pitcher Mariah Lopez (2016, Oklahoma commit) who were ranked No. 1 in their respective classes.
