If you followed our series of the Top 10 Stories of 2014, you know that the No. 1 story was the “4 The Fall” program conducted by the Texas Bombers organization.

Run by Program Director Scott Smith, 4 The Fallen consists of players wearing jerseys that feature the names of fallen soldiers as a way to honor and remember them.

At the team banquet held Sat., December 3, 2015, over 1,000 people were touched by the emotional presentation of a Bombers’ jersey to the parents of Sgt. Thomas Spitzer, who was killed a little over six months ago.

In this video, you’ll hear Coach Smith give background details on Sgt. Spitzer and then see the presentation of the jersey by 2018 pitcher Brooke Vestal, who has committed to Oklahoma and is one of the rising stars in the softball, to John and Jean Spitzer.
