Video: Sierra and Sydney Romero interview (12/29)

Two of the best softball players in the country just happen to share the last name “Romero”… that’s because they’re sisters!

I caught up with Sierra and Sydney Romero last week as they worked out with Mike Stith at his Sports Training Complex in Anaheim, Calif.

For those who may not be familiar with the superstar sisters, Sierra was a 1st Team All-American at the Univ. of Michigan in 2014 as a sophomore and captured her second straight Big Ten Player of the Year award after setting Wolverine single-season records in batting average (.491), runs scored (74) and grand slams (4).

Sydney helped lead the OC Batbusters to this past summer’s PGF 18U Premier National Championship, hitting .478 at Nationals with a team-leading eight RBI. She was also a Full Count Softball All-American after hitting .612 with 11 home runs as a junior.

In this video interview, you’ll see the sisters comfortably interacting and laughing with each other as they talk about growing up and playing softball together, who’s stronger mentally (bit of a disagreement there!) and what they think the other does better on the field!
