Yesterday, I had the chance to watch Syd Romero, the outstanding middle infielder for the OC Batbusters – Haning/Stith team, do some hitting in the cages at Mike Stith’s Sports Training Complex in Anaheim, Calif. where all of the Batbusters and many other top softball players do their EM Training workouts as well.

Syd – the top rated infielder in the 2015 Hot 100 list and No. 4 player overall – was hitting in rotation with her older sister, Sierra, the outstanding shortstop at Michigan, along with Florida freshman Janelle Wheaton.

Janelle, incidentally, was with Syd on the Batbusters this summer when they won the PGF National Championship.
