No. Player Position Club College
70 Ava Tillmann
#70 - Ava Tillmann
P Georgia Impact - Gibson Ole Miss
Ava is a power pitcher who throws 65-66 mph and keeps the ball down. She's also a workhorse who eats up a lot of innings and even when she throws a lot, the speed on her fastball doesn't drop at all. Best of all, she has the frame to have a lot of college success. This fall Ava set a school record with 25 wins and had 237 K's in 217 innings with a 1.29 ERA as she led her team to the Sweet 16 in the playoffs. She also set a school record with a .402 batting average and because of her success won 5AAA Region Player of the Year honors. Ava also has a 4.0 GPA in the classroom.
69 Maddie MacGrandle
#69 - Maddie MacGrandle
P Texas Glory Texas A&M
Maddie is a solid left-handed pitcher who has a nice mix of power and spin to keep hitters off balance. At the plate she has a big stick and routinely hits the ball very hard. Maddie has the size to hold up to the pounding of SEC competition and has a chance to be a strong contributor to the Aggies right away. Last season she was named the Dallas-Ft. Worth All-Metroplex Co-Freshman Pitcher of the Year and her district's unanimous Newcomer of the Year. A solid student, MacGrandle earned Academic All-District honors in 2014. In her freshman campaign, she hit .495 with 35 RBI and in the circle struck out 117 hitters in 71 innings of work.
68 Kelcy Leach
#68 - Kelcy Leach
C/3B Texas Sudden Impact uncommitted
Kelcy is following in the footsteps of her older sister, Aubrey, a Tennessee signee who was a 2014 All-American and ranked No. 22 in the 2015 Hot 100. Kelcy is a skilled catcher who called her own games from the first contest all the way through to the Texas state championship game. She has great defensive skills and is a dangerous power hitter too. Kelcy hit .341 as a freshman and led her high school team with 10 home runs to earn District 14-5A Newcomer of the Year. She's visited Baylor, LSU and South Alabama and also is hearing from other SEC schools like Missouri, Ole Miss and Kentucky.
67 Jana Johns
#67 - Jana Johns
3B Atlanta Vipers - Vallery South Carolina
Jana is a clutch hitter who can drive the ball to the gaps and is athletic enough to play most of the infield and outfield positions. She's a two-time All-State honoree after hitting .458 with 44 RBI as a freshman and .451 with a school record 16 doubles this fall. Jana came up big in the 2AA state title game as she went 4-for-4 with a grand slam and double giving her school its first softball championship. A 4.0 student in AP and honors classes, Jana hit three home runs at PGF Nationals at the 14U level. She's also a talented basketball player and earned MVP honors at a Christmas tournament last winter.
66 Makenna Dowell
#66 - Makenna Dowell
IF Georgia Elite - Hoover Arkansas
Makenna is one of the most solid defensive players in the 2017 class. She's smooth, fluid and makes plays look effortless. Her strengths are her footwork and great hands with a quick release. Makenna frequently changes the momentum of a game with her defensive stops and has led her high school team to a top five finish at state. She was chosen to play on the All-Star team at the 2014 Colorado Fireworks tournament and was honored in 2013 as the Scout All-American Most Outstanding Defensive Player. While defensive is her calling card, she's a .300-plus hitter who puts the ball in play and has speed on the base paths.
65 Taylor Bump
#65 - Taylor Bump
IF Gold Coast Hurricanes - Arcuri Michigan
Taylor is very athletic, especially for a tall girl, and her work ethic and her willingness to put in the work for success is unsurpassed. What Taylor does exceptionally well is she thinks on her feet and makes good decisions. She's led her Florida high school to back-to-back 2A state championships and earned MaxPreps Freshman All-American honors after hitting .557 with 44 hits, seven home runs and 36 RBI. Taylor is well-liked by coaches and players and is a great leader on and off the field. She's also a standout volleyball player and shines in the classroom with a 4.3 GPA.
64 Haley Hestekin
#64 - Haley Hestekin
P Beverly Bandits Wisconsin
Haley was one of the most dominant players in Wisconsin high school ball as she compiled a 28-2 record and earned All-State recognition. As good as she is now, though, coaches rave about her raw abilities and think her ceiling is extremely high. Haley has a low and high riseball, spins the ball incredibly well and already has a good understanding of the game. She also elevates her game to the level of competition and this fall no-hit one of the top club teams in the country at a Surf City tournament.
63 Hannah Todd
#63 - Hannah Todd
P Georgia Impact - Jeffreys North Carolina
Hannah has a great frame at 6-foot and has really come into her own this year and taken her game to a new level. She has a tantalizing rise ball that batters chase when behind in the count but her go-to pitches are usually her excellent curve and screwball. Hannah spins the ball well and has great location on her pitches. Her mound presence is one of her strengths. She is also very athletic and can play the outfield well, too, with her good foot speed and arm. And you have to root for someone like Hannah who has been deaf in her left ear since birth.
62 Hannah Boos
#62 - Hannah Boos
P So Cal Athletics - Quarles uncommitted
Hannah led her club team to an ASA National Championship and a runner-up finish at PGF despite suffering a finger injury heading into the title game. She throws in the low to mid 60's and has a knee-buckling change as well as a curve, drop curve, rise and screwball. Hannah also keeps the ball low and induces a lot of ground balls. She has a lot of colleges after her and she's weighing her options as she wants to major in Animal Science. Look for her to have a dominant year in 2015 both at the high school and club levels.
61 Livy Schiele
#61 - Livy Schiele
OF Batbusters - Fox Auburn
Livy is one of the top outfielders in the class and has amazing quickness and a great first-step jump on the ball. She's broken records in pro agility drill tests and from the left side has great speed but also can surprise with some pop in the bat. The San Diego standout is not big in stature, but her stats were huge as she hit .526 as a freshman and had 47 runs scored with 29 steals, six triples and 18 walks in only 24 games. Coaches say she plays at a higher level than her age and is sophisticated in how she patrols the outfield.
