Marshaylee (“Shay”) Knighten is one of the top softball players in the country and was rated No. 5 in the latest Full Count Softball 2015 Hot 100.

An athletic, power-hitting infielder who is the definition of “leader on the field,” Shay comes from an athletic family as her father, Kenny, is a coach in the Corona Angels organization and her older sister, Marjani, is a sophomore infielder at Nebraska.

I caught up with Shay after her last game with her Corona Angels – Tyson team at the So Cal A’s Tournament on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014 and talked to her about the top-rated Oklahoma signing class as well as what she wants to work on before she gets to the Sooner campus…
