On Thursday we were sad to report the passing of legendary Arizona club coach Dick Dickson.

A lot of former players and fans of the long-time Lil Saints coach wrote to express their love and fondness for the coach and one photo that was sent in by David Statman, father of T Statman, a senior pitcher committed to the Univ. of Arizona, captures the fun and joy Coach Dickson brought to his players.

This pic is from the 2011-12 season and as David explains is of him “having some fun and full of life… when he was still around every tournament.”

You’ll see that Coach Dickson and all the players are wearing ski-type goggles that belong to T who wears a pair when she pitches.

“Everyone was laughing as they were all wearing T’s backup goggles—she has five pairs based on sun and weather conditions,” explains the pitcher’s father.

And, as you can see here, everyone got into the fun, even Coach Dickson.
