A great event coming up in about a month isn’t the biggest one of the fall, but it is a must see if you want to see the top teams in Northern California, which is always talent heavy.

The 1^st annual Nor Cal Organizational Challenge will take place October 25 & 26 at the Salinas Sports Complex in Salinas, Calif. and features eight top organizations that will bring 24 teams to compete in the 18U, 16U and 14U age brackets.

Here’s the list of the programs who, as the event proclaims, will be “battling for bragging rights in Nor Cal:”

1. All American Sports Academy
2. California Breeze
3. California Grapettes
4. California Nuggets
5. KG Hitters
6. Salinas Storm
7. San Jose Sting
8. Sorcerers

The Salinas Sports Complex has six fields and says Coach Bill Sparrey, who is involved with the event, “You will have the opportunity to watch all the teams in each age group at the same location without ever having to leave for another complex.”

The tournament format will be three pool games for each team on Saturday and on Sunday teams will play in a single elimination format. Each age group will have a tournament champion and a overall organizational champion will be named based on a point system.
