Kailyn Hansen’s Ice Bucket Challenge (8/20)
Kailyn Hansen’s Ice Bucket Challenge (8/20)

Another softball ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and this one comes from Southern California where 2017 catcher/infielder Kailyn Hansen, who attends La Mirada High in Whittier, got involved as she had a personal connection to the cause.

This is Kailyn Hansen, formerly of So Cal Athletics Quarles. I am now on So Cal Choppers Shipman/Ziese.
The Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness for ALS has been all over social media and I though it would be good to bring it to the softball world.
I know probably many people in the softball community knows people affected by this. I for one have a good friend whose grandmother lost their battle with ALS.
I have posted an #Icebucketchallenge video to try and get the softball world involved. Hopefully we will eventually get every softball team and player and coach involved and we can raise some money for ALS.
I challenged So Cal Athletics manager Jonathan Natividad and two other players from different teams.
So hopefully this can take off and softball can do it’s part to raise money and awareness for ALS. I also want to challenge all softball players, parents, coaches and fans to do the #Icebucketchallenge and donate.
Thank you and hopefully softball can raise some awareness and some money for this great cause!
Thank you so much.
