A week ago today, Makayla Martin (2015, Auburn) pitched the game of her life as she led the So Cal A’s-Myers/McNee team to the PGF Nationals 16U championship.

The video below was shot right after the game and in it she talks about coming back from a shaky start to allow only one hit after the first inning while recording nine strikeouts.

Well spoken and personable, Makayla was more worried about how she would do in the interview than in the game and you can humorously see how she gets down on herself on a small flub at the beginning!  I kept it in because it makes her even that much more likable!

And pleas forgive the focus issues… was when I was still figuring out the new camera!
