One of the teams participating in the PGF 18U Nationals Platinum level is Houston Power Gold coach by Jeff Korioth.

At the PGF Qualifier in June, assistant coach Brittany Stevens, aka “Coach BeBe,” challenged the team by promising to wear a bow if they qualified (and, it’s been emphasized by one Power insider, Coach BeBe is not the bow-wearing type).

Sunday night, the Power players remembered the promise made and presented the coach with a custom-made, large pizza sized bow that’s even decked with lights made by the sister-in-law of Amy Sawyer, mother of 2015 catcher Katy Sawyer.

Experts at NASA say the fashion statement can be seen from orbiting satellites, it’s that huge.  Estimated weight of the bow: 3-5 pounds!

So if you see a coach wearing this monstrosity of a headpiece, you’ll now know the backstory of how she put herself on the line to motivate her team!
