Today’s spotlight takes us to Michigan where we meet a very personable incoming junior infielder who was all-state this year and will play her college softball in the South where she’s excited to get away from the cold winters of the Midwest!

Why South Alabama? “Coach (Becky) Clark is an amazing person and coach. I love the family feel with the whole team and I love the softball facilities and the university. Plus, the weather is awesome especially coming from Michigan and having to play indoors for half the year. I can’t wait to win the CWWS with the Jags!

They first saw me play as an eighth grader on the 2012 Adidas Futures – Michigan team and brought me in for a visit. I knew it was the place for me on the first visit and Coach Clark has been so awesome, trustworthy, honest and fair throughout the whole process. I am very blessed to be given this great opportunity!”

 

Where are you now? “We were playing down in the Atlanta Legacy tournament and then we had to drive home to Michigan after the game—a very long day!  I will be playing this up coming week at the ASA in Virginia.  I will be playing with the 16U Black team this week.”

 

What is your favorite bat: “My all time favorite bat was the orange Demarini CF5 Insane… it has awesome pop off the bat with excellent feel. Now I love the red Demarini CF6 Insane. Similar feel to the orange. I need to buy a few more before we can’t find them anymore. Love these bats. I would love to be a spokeswomen for these bats and wish they would make the orange CF5 Demarini Insane again!”
What bat does your team use? “Red Demarini CF6 Insane.”
What is your favorite brand of cleats? 
”Ringor with pitching toe. Best cleat ever especially for pitching.”
