ASA/USA GOLD Nationals start Monday (7/20)

Forty-eight teams will compete in the inaugural ASA/USA 16U GOLD National Championship in Broken Arrow, Okla. while 64 squads will take to the ASA Hall of Fame Complex to compete for the ASA/USA 18U GOLD National title.
Both National Championships feature the many top 16-Under and 18-Under softball teams in the country with the 18U GOLD beginning on July 21 and the 16U GOLD beginning on July 22.
And both National Championships wrap up on Saturday, July 26 with two new National Champions named.

The official start of the 18U GOLD National Championship kicks off at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, July 21 as 16 pools of four teams each begin play.
Pool play, which does not count towards a team’s overall seeding in bracket play, will continue through Tuesday afternoon with 4:30 p.m. games concluding pool play.

Bracket play begins on Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m. and will continue through Saturday with the Championship Game slated for 2:30 p.m. on OGE Energy Field at the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium. Pool play and bracket play draws will be completed on Sunday evening by tournament officials and coaches.
For the 16U GOLD, the action kicks off at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22 as 12 pools of four teams each begin pool play.

Bracket play begins on Wednesday at 6 p.m. and will continue through Saturday with the Championship Game slated for 2 p.m. on Field 1 at Arrowhead Park in Broken Arrow, Okla. Pool play and bracket play draws will be completed on Monday evening by tournament officials and coaches.
At the 2013 GOLD National Championship, which was held at the Eddie C. Moore Complex in Clearwater, Fla., the Atlanta Vipers-Giles claimed the title after defeating Wagner’s Gold-Dunn 3-2 in the Championship game.
