Twins commit together (7/2)



Anni and Kadi Borries, juniors at Teutopolis High School (Ill.) and players for the Premier Fastpitch Softball 16U Black team, have verbally committed to play for four more years together after high school as the twins have selected Illinois State in Normal, Ill.
Anni is a catcher and as a sophomore earned 1st Team honors on the Effingham Daily News All-Area and Illinois Coaches Association’s 2A Second Team. She hit .444 for Teutopolis with three home runs and 31 RBI.
Kadi, a pitcher, was an ICA 2A 1st Team selection and also earned 1st Team honors on the EDN All-Area Team as a sophomore. She batted .462 average, hit six home runs and 38 RBI and was 19-2 in the circle with a 1.86 ERA in 127.2 innings pitched and recorded 121 strikeouts with a 1.057 WHIP
Anni and Kadi’s high school team, the Lady Shoes, finished second at the IHSA 2A State Tournament in 2014. Both are in the Class of 2016.
Both Borries play summer ball for Coaches Kristi and Dan Paulson. The Premier Fastpitch 14U team took championships in both ASA “A” and NSA “A” in 2012 and the team has qualified for ASA 16U Gold Nationals in Oklahoma this year.
Premier Fastpitch began as one team in the fall of 2011 and the organization now fields two 16U teams and a 14U. Next season, Premier Fastpich, which is based in Mattoon, Ill, will compete at the 18U, 16U, and 14U levels and is run by Kristi and Dan Paulson.
